Data Encryption
Secure Your Data from Prying Eyes and Competitors. Protect Your Identity
Data Encryption has been a popular method of information security since the advent of the computer, but has become more consumer focused since 1976 when a 56 bit DES based on a symmetric-key algorithm was adopted by the National Bureau of Standards. Nowadays this is seen as an insecure platform since 128 bit encryption is the standard for even the most basic transactions. Since 2001 the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) has replaced DES.
